We have some great sponsors onboard for the Motiv8 Fantasy Fiction Tour this year. If you haven't checked out REAL ARMOR OF GOD - go to their website at http://www.realarmorofgod.com/ or click the link on my blog. The sword pictured here is a replica from the "First Knight" movie and each author is being provided with one to take on the tour. Hopefully none of us will make the nightly news as we attempt to carry them across country on planes!
The shield above was perfect for me. My second book, "Ryann Watters and the Shield of Faith," will be out in the Spring of 2009 and the hero in the story is a White Unicorn. They also have authentic costumes, shields, boots, armor and more. Even if you just want to browse, take a few minutes to check 'em out and then pass the word along.
A new sponsor this year is Hotel Burgess in Reedley , CA. Personally, I'm looking forward to visiting with them in October. Check out their website at http://www.hotelburgess.com/ and the town website at http://www.reedleydowntown.com/.
Another new sponsor this year is Character-4-Kids. The tour is partnering with this non-profit 501C(3) to provide books of "high moral character to youth that are at a disadvantage physically or financially." Through this partnerhsip, we are looking to have the tour stop at a Children's Hospital and After School Reading program in two of the cities we visit. You can find out more about them at http://www.character-4-kids.org/ and make inquires into how to make a charitable donation and also have an author visit a local hospital or inner city youth program in your area to speak and provide free books.

Hey, just wanted to say hey, and the book came in the mail today!!! I can't wait to start reading it! Thanks again!
Hope you enjoy it. I just finished chapter 12 of book 2 and should be done by Thanksgiving.
Eric
I finished it, now I just need to post my review...
And yes, I liked it :D I think my favorite character, so far, was the fox, but I know that will change in the second book :D *cough*unicorn*cough*
Ooh... 2 unicorns in book 2!
*big grin*
Not that I like unicorns or anything...*ahem* I only spent almost all of my highschool career researching everything I could about unicorn lore, and all but one of any stories I've ever written are about unicorns.
Nope, don't like them at all :D
